Diabetes Prevention Classes

The CDC Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) helps people with prediabetes.  Prediabetes increases your risk of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.  The good news is that if you are prediabetic, the CDC Diabetes Prevention Program can help you make lifestyle changes to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes and other serious health problems.  Through group support, trained lifestyle coaches and classes that meet regularly, the year-long DPP program can keep prediabetes from becoming diabetes.

Not sure if you have prediabetes or are at risk?  Take the CDC self-test here. If you score a 9 or higher on the test, you could benefit from the CDC DPP. You can also talk to your doctor or call our Community Engagement Specialist at 215-246-5417 to see if you qualify!
